Game files
Put these .pk3 files in the baseq3 folder beside quake3e.exe
These need a Quake III Arena license. Buy it on Steam if you do not own it yet.
Check the server list to see who is online. Click a server address to copy its /connect command, then drop the console with ~ and paste it in.
You can play without it. You will not want to. Connect to any Area 51 server, open the console with ~ and run:
Press Escape for the menu, then Advanced Setup to customize.
The menu covers most of it. The console covers the rest: crosshairs, HUD layout, hitsounds, netcode, sorted by category and searchable.
